Must admit I though the opposite was true but WWIK ....

Mind you my main problems are swing plane and forward head drift, not something a different driver will fix.

You tend to get a bit more back spin, which should help to mitigate the tilt (or side spin if that helps the visual) imparted by your swing.  It's not a guarantee, and it's still dependent on the angle of contact, which is determined by your swing and the kick in your shaft.  With modern graphite shafts, there is so much that can be controlled just by how the shaft reacts to your particular swing that no one can really say for sure what might be best for you without a professional swing analysis.

the more loft you get with any club the more backspin you get, that is easy right? the more backspin you get the less room for side spin ( fade, draw ) that's why a pw goes a lot straighter than a 5 iron with the same swing.

Thanks guys. I think Ill pop by our local direct golf shop and have a play with a 12 degree driver and see if that works any better than my 10.5 degree beast....as well as continuing to work on my swing of course :)

    • Posted a couple swings here. I think my attempt to blend the movement still results in a more “around” back swing?
    • I never heard dislike for them.  From my perspective, they are just like any other club. Though, they were always probably over-priced, until recently as other club manufacturers have been raising prices the past 5+ years. You had to wait for them to go on sale, which you can get them closer to other club manufacturers.  They sell good clubs. Nothing crazy..
    • Why do so many people dislike PXG clubs and constantly criticize them? All the folks at my club and especially online, I never hear good things about them except from people who bought them and defend them. They look fine to me but curious is there some sort of quality issue or is it just stereotyping the buyers.
    • I have the LM1 launch monitor and I’ve been very impressed. I agree with your assessment and it’s very accurate for me and ease of use is wonderful. The price point of $199 is very hard to beat with this form factor and performance. I was previously using a PRGR.
