What I mean is, when you know your lie angle, swing speed and what adjustments you need from a standard set off the rack, what options do you have to buy clubs?  Basically just new from the manufacturer?  I'm just looking at what other options you have if you've been fitted, but can't really afford a $1000 set of custom irons.  Thanks!

Not sure if I understand your question, but I'll try. Once you know your specifications, you can buy new clubs without going through a fitting process. I would still want to hit the clubs first though. You can pinpoint shaft flex, but there are still different types of shaft and different brands, so you can't guarantee a perfect fit based on your previous fitting session. The most important in my opinion is to try out different clubs and shafts. Based on my own experience, you can feel the difference as well as see it from the results. Length and lie are formalities. The important part is how the clubs work for you. If you feel that your current shaft is a perfect match, another element can be ruled out. From there, it's about trying different club heads. Preferably with the shafts you are going to use. It all comes down to what you want to prioritize. Distance, accuracy, feel, looks, brand etc. Primarily, you want a club head that fits your game and your skill level. If you are a handicap 15, you probably won't pick the SGI irons. GI or players club heads might be a better choice.
