I don't see real well, so I ask the other players of my weekly foursome to watch where my ball goes for me....

Half the time they miss my shot cause I basically position my feet, adjust club head direction, breathe, let it rip.

They joke about how quickly I make a shot......I tell them I have to save time on the tee box to make up for time I have to take in the tall grass looking for the ball!!

I said 11 - 20.  In reality, I don't think I take a lot more time over one shot than another, BUT it would probably look like I take longer over drives on average.  This is because I'm "starting from scratch" if you will.  If I don't have the honors (mostly my groups don't worry about honors) I usually get in a practice swing or two while waiting my turn, if I am first up I still take one or two (if the first doesn't feel good).  Then I tee the ball and step back and pick my line, line up and take a look or two downrange before pulling the trigger.  All that probably takes over 30 seconds on average.  Through the green, on many shots I have gotten most of this done before it is my swing, so the actual setup and shot happen a lot faster.  I don't always take practice swings, not sure how I decide when I do or don't.  I do when I feel like I should...

I recognize that this is a real legit question for pace of play.  If you're a 90 shooter and take 30 seconds per shot, that's 45 minutes right there.  A foursome of 90 shooters would have only an hour for EVERYTHING ELSE to get around in 4 hours.  Still, I will not be focusing too hard on this question while I play.  Putting a stop-watch on my routine wouldn't enhance my quality of play, and that could, in itself, slow things down more....

Now I'll read on to see what others say.
