I have a 3 wood which measures 257cpm how much tipping would be required to make it 270cpm, it is supposed to be project x 6.5 pxv, any ideas what cpm it should be if it played exactly to flex? Thanks everyone!

Every shaft is different.  Some will take as much as 3" to raise 15cpm while others only take half that.  What I've seen though is that usually shafts with shorter tip sections like 3" PTS tend to take less tipping to raise X amount of cpm versus a shaft with a 5" PTS.  I would tip it 1/4-1/2" at a time and remeasure each tipping to see the change to be more precise.

Kinda hard to say what CPM would play to flex.  There isn't one number to say what flex it should be.  But 270 is definitely on the stiffer end.

I've seen a table comparing popular steel shafts on CPM - the table gave figures for both standard trim, and soft-stepping and hard-stepping.

I have not seen a table like this for graphite shafts, which have much more variety than the steel ones. I would suggest you contact True Temper/Project X on this one.
