So a few weeks ago I entered one of the weekly weekend comps and low and behold my playing partner and I ended up coming 2nd on the day! So, woohoo for me...my first ever placing in a golf tournament AND, happily for me, my first winnings as well! Ok, it was only a greensomes competition BUT they way my partner and I played was really, really enjoyable. Even though this was the first time I had ever met him we clicked instantly (probably helped having military careers in common) and got on like a house on fire! Tell you what though, we were like a freight train on heat by the end of the round...it was one of those rounds where everything we did just came up solid gold...as someone said in this forum once, it was an epic round of golf! So yeah, very happy with my first tournament 2nd place finish...now looking forward to that first win and a bit more money in the bank in the pro shop :) Regards Mailman

That's awesome man! I've never played in a tournament, but I've done 4 man scramble comps, and they're fun as hell!!!

Good work, and glad you had a good time. That's what it's all about.

The Internet Adjustment Formula:
IAD = ( [ADD] * .96 + [EPS] * [1/.12] ) / (1.15)
 
IAD = Internet Adjusted Distance (in yards)
ADD = Actual Driver Distance (in yards)
EPS = E-Penis Size (in inches)

      I  had to return to boast  just a  bit. Everyone  knows  i thought  this  is  how the Championship should  be decided. Match play is far  better than stroke  play to determine a  champion and  its  much closer to most sports  playoffs. Lose and you are  out.     Promotion, relegation and match play: PGA Tour unveils radical new structure The PGA Tour has revealed its planned changes to its competitive model, schedule and playoffs, changes that will be more substantial than any in the Tour's half-century-long history. How will the PGA Tour series wrap up its season? The current PGA Tour playoff format consists of three stroke-play events, concluding with the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Starting in 2028, the Tour's playoff system will feature match play, and will rotate through various courses. Further details will be revealed at this year's Tour Championship next month.

      I never heard dislike for them.  From my perspective, they are just like any other club. Though, they were always probably over-priced, until recently as other club manufacturers have been raising prices the past 5+ years. You had to wait for them to go on sale, which you can get them closer to other club manufacturers.  They sell good clubs. Nothing crazy..

      Why do so many people dislike PXG clubs and constantly criticize them? All the folks at my club and especially online, I never hear good things about them except from people who bought them and defend them. They look fine to me but curious is there some sort of quality issue or is it just stereotyping the buyers.

      I have the LM1 launch monitor and I’ve been very impressed. I agree with your assessment and it’s very accurate for me and ease of use is wonderful. The price point of $199 is very hard to beat with this form factor and performance. I was previously using a PRGR.
