Go preowned Callaway or Taylormade preowned is a good place to buy It's best to get a few lessons and ask an instructor about a set based on your skill level; And then come back to us and ask

I would recommend going to a local golf shop and swing a few sets of clubs. Get them to find you something that fits your swing, then go online and find them used.

If you are REALLY on a budget, you can just pick up a yardsale set and go have some fun. Don't think for a second that you NEED to go out and spend $400 on a driver, $700 on irons, and $150 on a putter. I am using Ben Hogan Edge irons from the late 80's...love em! Picked them up for $30.

    • I find the Todd Kolb / US Golf TV instruction videos very helpful. I like their simplicity as opposed to the complexity of the stack and tilt and other instruction methods. Thoughts and experiences? I expect some naysayers.
    • I’m assuming my feel for distance will be better with the heavier setup considering that’s what I got fit into. My putter before the Edel (Odyssey Rossie) had a head weight of 355 grams. I had a tendency with it where pace would be good then all of a sudden I’d blast one way past. I haven’t gotten that near as much with the Edel and I’m guessing it will come back with the lighter Anser. At the end of the day, I just think it would be cool to play a putter that my dad used and the refinished head looks awesome in my opinion.
