Hello from Washington State

I've been looking at this site and reading the forums for a while and thought that now was a good time to sign up considering that after playing the game at a VERY young age, I'm now starting to play again.

As I said before, I used to play when I was very young because both my parents are avid golfers. Then I became obsessed with Football (some on here will know it as soccer, but even though I live in the US it's always been a pet peeve of mine that people don't call the sport Football when just about the whole world does just because of the NFL) and played that from I'd guess age 5 on. My interest in golf came back when it was recommended to me to find a hobby to take my mind off Football, which many coaches say will increase your level of play. For a month or so, I was fairly lost. Football had been the only thing I've done besides school and I didn't know what else there was to do as far as hobbies or sports went. Then I began thinking of golf again and decided that now was the perfect time to start golfing again. So now I'm here, I have a new set of irons and a new putter (still need drivers) and have been taking them to my local driving range regularly. I still have to balance Football practice and Golfing at the same time, but it's been working well because Football practices are generally later in the day so it's been golf in the morning and Football at night. It's been fun and I'm glad I finally signed up here so I have some people to talk about my second sport with
