I typically shoot really bad on my first outing,  on any course, of the year. So I make it a point to come back later that same year and better that score. I do this on several courses and make a good game of it. I pick a charity... and if I half my over from the previous round they get $100. If I fail to make the halving I send them the difference...which could be between a dollar or so.until I break it and they get they get the balance..it is fun and keeps me honest. I call this my redemption score. Wikipedia states that it is really a Vengeance score, but who are they ..anyways.

We have all walked away from playing that bad round...and said ..."I'll be back", in effect if I go to the course where I shot a 112, and post a 91..I have to shell out $100 to the charity listed....ouch. but i my eyes..it is worth it...

GIMME some feed back...John

Your post didn't make a lot of sense to me.  I don't know what you're talking about, except that give to charity play better next time.

Whatever works I guess.

I'm afraid subconsciously I wouldn't want to shoot the good score and cost myself $100 though. I would do better if it cost me the $100 if I didn't better my over by half.
