Alright, this is my first time here so take it easy. So I picked up an RBZ (10.5, reg flex) before the start of this season and I began to like it. First couple rounds of the year I was consistently driving 250 and straight. I had to take about a two week break after that, and since coming back my driving has not been the same. I'm trying to do everything the same as before, just not working. When I hit the ball it either just goes straight with zero elevation, or very low and hooking to the right. Any suggestions on what the problem may be? If it helps, I'm almost 15 years old, 5'9" and 145 lbs.

I have had the same issues with my Driver from time to time.  I am not an expert so I am giving you what I personally do to fix these issues when they come up for me.  I have an RBZ 10.5 Stiff shaft.  If you want expert advice my suggestion is to video your swing and post it here so the guys can evaluate what you are doing.

When the ball stays low off the tee for me it's because I have the ball teed up too far back in my stance.

When I hook the ball it is usually because I am using all arms and don't use my legs or have very limited legs in the swing.

If there is a fundamental flaw in your swing, its going to be difficult to diagnose without video. I can give you a general suggestion that has worked for me, however. I have battled an erratic driver my whole golf career. For me it is generally an issue of tempo. Usually my snap hooks and slices are caused by getting too quick on the downswing. Some people tell you to swing easy, but that never worked for me because I had a tendency not to finish my swing. Instead, I would suggest thinking of a song that works to the same tempo of your well struck drives. Sing that song in your head during takeaway, and it will be readily apparent when you are getting too quick or too slow. Good luck!

Today I was actually playing music from my phone while teeing off, and I could actually see shades of my lost driving capabilities coming back. Thanks!

Could be the shaft.  If your swing is coming into form, that shaft could now be too weak for you, causing you to hook it unless your timing is spot-on.

    • I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family
    • First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
