Day 5: range night! Spent about 20 minutes putting, working on a bit of long and short putts. Then spent about an hour at the range. Got a solid session of focused on my priority piece (with filming), and I think I found a feel. -

I belong to two clubs that have adopted this MLR. Almost never use it though, as my lost or OB shot usually did not travel as far as a well hit shot would. I am better off taking the stroke and distance penalty and hitting again. And I'm inexplicably confident it won't go OB twice in a row. Also, hitting again is "free practice", that I obviously needed. Only time I use this rule, as you noted, is to avoid walking back (usually after a futile ball search). My score will inevitably be worse than if I had walked back. -
