National Historic Landmark Committee to decide on Baltusrol

Baltusrol’s up for nomination to be listed as a National Historic Landmark. Designed by Tillinghast and unchanged are the reasons cited. I was hoping to read about more though.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Interesting stuff, and I'll have to keep an eye on that. I'm surprised that only three courses have been designated historic landmarks.
