I highly suggest anyone to pick up MCR's Cd THE BLACK PARADE. Every song on this cd is great..........................seriously.

Anyways, I think this cd is up there with Metallica: Black Album, Michael Jackson: Thriller, David Bowie: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from mars, Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here and a few other albums that I would consider the best of all time.

If you are wondering, I honestly like all music genres so I would say anyone would like this album. Don't sterotype MCR as a just another punk band beacause trust me, they have there act together and a good people in real life.

So if you need your music fix in this world filled with awful rap songs that get played to death, pick up My Chemical Romance: The Black Parade for about $14.

Sorry, so far I'm not impressed enough to go out and buy it. If its classic as you claim it might grow on me and then I'll get it. More of an Indie fan I guess.

Probably not. MCR, or at least their old stuff, sounds too whiny, and "emo-ish". If that is a word.

Metallica is the best ever, though.

Their name alone has kept me from even giving a listen. Close-minded? Yeah, quite possibly. They're played on a station I listen to, but, it's one of the instant channel changes. Much like Linkin Park for me.

In case anyone was wondering...

Sonic Youth, fIREHOSE, The Strokes, A Tribe Called Quest, Radiohead, Beastie Boys, Boogie Down Productions, are all some of the many favorite bands I have. I also like electronic and classical music. Hell, I even have a bunch of Johnny Cash in my iPod.

MCR looks emo, but if you really listen and analyze their songs, they're more of pop rock. Don't be deceived by their looks and videos.

I've actually never seen any of their music videos - I was judging by the sound of their music.

A lot of my friends who typically get into the harder rock really liked this CD but I haven't really felt the urge to buy it or have I even liked their released songs anyways.

Some of their songs are okay, they aren't my favourites though.

That "I'm Not OK" song was pretty catchy.

I loved it, it's definately a great album. I love #2, Dead! Great song. They can be classed as emo if you like but I still like them.

they make catchy alt-pop music that i find enjoyable, but they try so hard to look like something they aren't(goth) and most of thier fans are younger kids who are also trying to be goth but not really..

Taking Back Sunday is another example of this, but their songs are 10x better so i'm more willing to overlook it

I really like Dead! but it is probably because of Guitar Hero II.

    • Well, I am not surprised since the departure of Koepka and Reed.  Also Mickelson taking hiatus from golf hasn't helped any - albeit he is not much of a needle mover these days. Surprising is LIV hasn't offered any contract extension to Bryson as he seems to be the only marquee player they have at the moment.  Oh wait there is Dustin, Sergio, and ???  But these two guys haven't been doing much lately anyway.
    • Day 7, April 15.   I was so excited about the pelvis turn drills that I didn't work on the hip rotation drill from my latest Skillest lesson (oops!).  I worked on that today, using a cereal box.  I also continued to do some pelvis turn drills, in part because I'm doing some of it with all practice balls hit, and I wanted to hit some balls this morning too.
    • I was hoping to find an image of my Edel Putter in my swing thread here. I found the video of the 1st tee shot at Moon Valley from 2015.  Whooo man, that backswing, 🤣 Man, I had faster hips and more mobile hips back then. I could get the hips open prior to impact.
    • Yea, I think it is just human nature. It could be subconscious as well.  The studies on Belief Perseverance, Cognitive Dissonance, Confirmation Bias, Motivated Reasoning are all interesting topics in psychology.  Being that people are probably on a spectrum regarding how susceptible they are to these behaviors; I am not shocked by his response. It helps me cope with this sort of thing as well. I am like; Oh, they can't help it. Honestly, they probably can't with out some sort of major pattern changes in how they process information. I wish, I would be like 80-lbs lighter than I am now! 🤣 I am glad the GEARS avatar doesn't blow up in size to match the person's outline.
    • Hasn't happened yet but there's a lot of smoke now, I guess.
