Golf Pride VDC vs MultiCompound

I am bringing my clubs in to be regripped and was thinking of getting the multiCompound or the VDR in midsize. Is the multi worth the extra money vs the VDR? I was looking at them and the multi corded area does offer more grip, but this will be under my gloved hand and is it really needed? I get my clubs regripped every year or every other at the longest and both seem to be durable to last that long. Has anyone tried both?

I like both grips. I actually only prefer the multicompound in my wedges, and use the vdr in all other clubs.
