Lately, I've been struggling off the tee. With frequent mishits, I've been sending them straight out - splitting the fairway and then taking a hard left - or simply low and immediately left. At the beginning of summer, I was doing great but this has developed into a full blown problem. Any advice for me to try at the range? Thanks in advance.

Does it 1) start left and go further left, 2) start left and keep left, or 3) start straight and go left?

1 - pull-hook - I am guessing you've got the clubface too closed off at impact. You mentioned your trajectory is low, which a closed clubface can do.

2 - pull - Outside-in swing path + closed clubface. If this is the case you'll need to work on fully extending through impact (to cure the outside-in) and then keep the club square at impact.

3 - hook - Most likely I can think of is an inside-out swing path, but only if your irons also draw/hook. Also, you could be hitting the club on the heel.

There's cures for all of these, but I'm curious as to which one you've got.

It's sad but true...I think I'm guilty of all of the above at different times. I think I only do # 2 (outside-in) on purpose when I'm scared of OB or hazards on the right. # 3 is the biggest problem but at times, I think # 1 happens, too. My natural shot is a noticeable draw with both irons and woods. # 3 seems to explain the problem.

    • Imma throw a dart in the dark as no one can tell what is happening once every fourth iron shot per your OP. This might sound counterintuitive but if ball position is too far back in the stance folks are known to throw down clubhead steeply. Could be happening. And yes, @billchaois not wrong; clubhead tends to bottom out wherever your pressure is. So slide forward (not sway), then hit.
    • Day 300 (!): did a stack session.
    • Day 24: Missed my weekly round due to a last minute little league makeup game this morning. Managed to get in some backswing rehearsals while grilling sausages for dinner, and then putted around the office/laundry room after dinner.
    • but I don't understand how that's possible you still want your head to stay back you don't want the upper body coming forward and plus I've tried feeling that and it made my fat shots worse and I then tend to pull and sky all my shots especially with driver because I get in front of it dont need force plates to see i finish on my left side
