So who's been playing rocketbladez this year? I've read the initial reviews,... But how are yours working for you? And did you get them fitted? I got mine in April, shortened by 3/4", and they're really starting to come good! Think I'm gonna get the lies retested at the end of summer though, just to see if an adjustment is needed after the shortening, but overall, I'm happy! Never hit 4i as well as I can with these bad boys!

The only reason I'm posting this is because yesterday myself and a friend were 230yrds from the green, I was in the rough but with a decent lie, he was on the fairway, he pulled his 3w out, I hit a 4i lay up but landed pin high just off the green! He asked what I'd hit so I told him, he checked his gps and said I'd just smacked it 230 yards from the rough!!! I only drive around 240 with a driver! I can only presume these rocketbladez are a bit special or I was momentarily possessed by the spirit of hogan himself!

From the rough you may have caught a pure "flier" shot. I've done similar with my 9i from 160 in light rough, it flew the green with an easy swing.

They do that once in a while to keep us addicted to this silly game.

    • I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family
    • First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
