Plenty players go through a wedge in a season or two. I don't - but that doesn't mean that nobody else does. A lot depends on practice habits and ground conditions, and on what you expect, or will tolerate, from a wedge. I do believe that vokeys are plated with a very thin layer of kraft cheese - which may be part of the problem.

Yes exactly I had a pair of vokeys and after 2 months wore through the chrome...now I've had my wedge less than a month and you can already see a sweet spot, considering taking off the chrome so that dosnt happen and so it matches my other clubs

If you're starting with a chromed wedge - it will never look as pretty as the raw ones in that link, but you can still use a groove tool to keep the grooves sharp, and if the chrome is wearing off the face you can file and grind the face flat as described. I've done all that with old Hogan wedges that I like - I just haven't done the black oxide surface treatment, but it's functional for now. I may look into blueing the worn (ie bare of chrome) parts of the face and sole - in my mind's eye, I see a guitar-style "sunburst" finish.

    • I would put money on Will having a better NFL career than Sanders. Mostly because he is a fast processor and his mental game and leadership is top notch. I think that translates better.
    • Day 279: chipped for a while with my net. Worked mostly on lower chips. Contact was crisp - feeling good about this.
    • Shedeur freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee fallin'. I'm definitely on board with the "Shedeur is bad" takes. Am I right? Dunno.  Milroe's still there. I feel like he has way more upside than Shedeur but again, I could be wrong. He seems at least as good as Malik Willis to me though.  My physical therapist loves Will Howard but he went to Ohio State so his opinion can't really be trusted. He any good?
    • I don't have one. I couldn't care much less about the draft. I don't care about sports much in the off-season: I care a little about my teams in the off-season. I'm not an NFL fan. I'm a quasi-Steelers fan.
