Dear all. My father was a keen golfer back in the day (but actually didnt do it very often- more watched it). He died a couple of years ago and my mother now feels she should sell his 2sets of golf clubs ( shes quite elderly and could do with the extra cash actually). Id love to help her get a few pounds for them but I have NO idea about golf and no idea how much I should be asking for them. Could anyone pissibily help ? I have found 2 sets. One Fred Daly set in a bag with a set of 2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10 irons and a 6 George Nicole Iron and a 2,3,4,7 putter (although the markings on the 2& 7 putter have nearly ribbed off so numbers are a bit of a guess) and the second set are a set of Howson golf clubs in Howson bag including a 1,3,5 drivers (circuit design) with head protectors and a set of 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,S &P; (circuit design) irons with one Dj-7 putter None of this means anything to me so any help would be most great fully received. She's not looking to take anyone for a ride but not be taken in herself. Many thanks

It's unlikely you'll get an offer for them, not only are they an old outdated set, but they're not even a collectible old outdated set, the best advice I can think of is keep them and learn to play yourself?

I'd agree with Hardballs. Unfortunately you have very old outdated equipment which isn't worth anything of value. Maybe you could take up the game and see how you like it?

    • No. If there was a place no closer to the hole that afforded some relief, you could have dropped there. If you were truly as far away from the hole as you could, in the "back" of the bunker, then… your options were basically to play it as it lies (lied? lay?) or take the penalty stroke and drop behind the bunker (keeping the point where the ball was between your drop and the hole).
    • Day 121 - Had a tournament today, not my best. I was hitting everything off the heel.
    • Day 4 (5 May 24) - mirror work focused on “feel of weight” transfer onto lead foot.  Continued work to develop trust in lead foot being able to handle full weight pressure…
    • Ok, so I’m still confused here. Are you saying I could have used the only available Spot in the bunker even though it was 6-7 feet closer to the hole?
    • Yes. If you choose to take the ball out of the bunker instead of taking maximum available relief… it costs a stroke.
