I have been pushing tee shots and longer clubs consistently to the right. I have been working on grip and stance. These don't seem to be problem. After reading some posts, I am going to try interlocking grip since my hands are small. Other tips?

Many factors could contribute to pushing the ball. Try posting a video of your swing if you really want to work to correct it.

Without the video....
1. Maybe your aimed there
2. Could be your clubface is just open at impact
3. Could be losing your spine angle before impact
4. Right knee could be staightening in your backswing

Just to name a couple....

When I push, it usually means my hips are rotating too fast for my hands to keep up with. Try keeping your lower body quieter so your hands can go through the ball while closing the clubface.

I know I'm a terrible golfer but try it out.

...that's one of the things Tiger works on when he pushes the ball.

Pushing comes from being under the plane with the clubface square to the swing path. The best way to cure pushing is to get the club on-plane.

The quick way is to get the clubface square to the target at impact. The problem with this is you are still under the plane hitting hooks. It limits your choices and makes a number of shots and situations almost impossible.

Been there, done that. Got the Tee shirt.

Most people push the ball because they keep their weight on the back leg and drop the back shoulder down stopping the club from returning to square at impact.

You might be standing too close to the ball, that happens to me sometimes.

If you have an inside to out swing and your nornal shot is a draw but you get the occational push or block out to the right it just means your club face is square to your swing path at impact but if you are too close to the ball there is not enough room for your body to rotate through and so your hips don't clear all the way through.

Take a page out of Zach's book and try lining the ball up a little more towards the toe at setup when hitting longer clubs.

^Ya, that used to happen to me.

Now, I can't remember the last time I pushed an iron (Driver is a whole other story with me). If I send the ball far to the right it's because I was too close to the ball and didin't follow through. My hips then turn way to the left (to allow the club to come down) and my wrists just turn right over...usually ends up being a nice hook.

    • I am meh on Seve's swing.  I would probably say Tiger's 2000 swing.  I also always liked Adam's Scott's swing.
    • I heard about this from a coworker, so I had to do some googling.  Former U.S. Open champion accused of damaging historic Oakmont lockers The incident marks the second time in two months that Wyndham Clark's name has been tied to major-championship mayhem. Apparently, sources are saying he did bash in two lockers at Oakmont. If this is true, really bad form from Clark. You are a guest at Oakmont, and you basically destroy a member's locker.
    • MI, The Final Reckoning: Birdie. Could have been overall par except for the submarine and the plane sequences. Dood pushes some serious human limits as has become bit of a norm for him in the MI (..and Top Gun 2) movies. I'm glad he isn't dead. Seriously.
    • That suprises me,nevertheless you didnt touch on seve's swing and I like that..
    • I don't think this was a last man standing win. The drive on 17 has gotta be an all-timer at a US Open though. Talk about hitting it on the screws at a peak moment! And then doesn't blink on the big 18th either. 100% deserved win.    I was pulling hard for Adam and Viktor though. I hope Viktor can put it together and get one across the field soon. I do think the denial of drop at 15 got in Burn's head.  The cabbage seemed like it was singularly most defining aspect of the championship (as expected..). I hate to revel in the misfortunes of the cabbage victims but it was so entertaining. Surviving it was like surviving hell week. Cut the bombers down to size. I tried so hard to not laugh at this..🤣. But here's one for the short stubby guys with a total dad-bod (wink-wink)!
