I wonder if he was tyrying to lube the faces to reduce spin? I kid you not I knew a guy that put vaseline on his driver before for that reason. (cheating, of course)

That's what went through my mind as I read the original post as well. I was once told that car wax would do the same thing. Being the curious type, I tried it on the range many years ago and have to same that it worked great.

Ive never had situations like that, except for people swinging their clubs on practise swings and almost hitting people, like how stupid is that?
