This is a nifty idea. Unfortunately all my outlets are horizontal but looks like they're designing a horizontal model as well. I guess I my place is... OLD (pre war). The vertical model should work fine with horizontal outlets for the 30 pin and probably the usbs for some smartphones though. Lightning is a little precarious to balance though.

My friends and family when they come back from China/Taiwan/Japan/S Korea always come back with a potpourri of tech gadgets, some quite ingenious. Many of them crazy cheap. I have to ask them what kind of things in this vein they saw.

My inelegant but cheapskate solution for now. It ain't pretty, but it works. I attach these in a chain link fashion. This is about a foot long, some I made shorter. I wonder if this is a fire hazard, even though I'm just charging mobile devices.
