Despite its slim profile, the Approach G8 debuts a substantial range of features to help you take on any course. PlaysLike Distance gives golfers distances to the target, adjusted for uphill or downhill shots.

So it's just going to be another one that's against the rules to use, but from what I see the difference won't be obvious just to look at it.  I see lots of issues cropping up from this.  I can understand Garmin putting it on the market to try and hold on to some of the slope measuring laser market, but it's unfortunate that they didn't make this model in lime green or some other color that would jump out at you.  This makes it too easy on the cheaters.

I love my Approach G5, so I have no interest in this one.  I really don't want any of the added features, aside from the WiFi updater maybe, but I can certainly live without that too.  It's not that tough to plug in the USB cable to update it.  The courses are no different from what I have on mine, so that's a non-issue.
