We are looking for dining recommendations for Myrtle Beach, Kiawah Island and Charleston areas. We enjoy local, hole-in-the-wall, type joints. On the ocean/water would be wonderful. Don't mind paying for good food (any $$$). Don't like chains. Love breweries.

I’ve had these recommendations so far. Myrtle: The Barrel and Damon’s for drinks. Damon’s for a view. Louis’s at Sanford on Pawley’s Island…someone said  “Fantastic food, maybe some the best I have ever eaten.”  Also for MB: New York Prime,  Landshark Bar & Grille (located on the strip - great view of the ocean). For Charleston dining: Cypress, Magnolias and 82 Queen.

Breakfast?
Lunch?
Dinner?

Thanks in advance!

In regards to Charleston, COAST is fantastic.  It is north of Calhoun Street but definitely worth finding.  Pearlz Oyster Bar on E. Bay is really good and they usually have Happy Hour specials.  For breakfast, Hominy Grill is hard to beat.

Hyman's is a tourist trap but it's still quite good. I recommend the salmon and grits, or the shrimp and grits.
