I almost feel like they are waiting for the story to die down to the point where no one (except the families) care and then it will show up in the middle of news reports and newspapers.

I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, but this reeks of a cover up.  I can't believe that with all the satellite monitoring we and other countries have no one knows where the plane ended up.

I saw that on the news. I don't know how distinctive a "ping" is but if it's not distinctive enough to know it's coming from a black box the ping design should be changed.

If it is distinctive, and if the Chinese actually heard it, surely there shouldn't be much doubt which airplane it's coming from.

Unlike debris (with all of those seemingly false alarms) there really shouldn't be a lot of black boxes putting out pings.
