I know theres been a few posts about these topics, but none of which really answers my exact questions. These clubs seem to be strikingly similar, both are forged but not blades. Hopefully combining workability with shape-ability, and intended for mid to lower handicappers. My dad is convinced that with the Titleists you're paying more for the name then the product. His arugment is that because titleist sponsers players they have to recopporate some of that money threw raising product prices. Both of these sets of clubs go for $750 where I live. Is there really a difference between them? If so, what would that be? I've already had a few discussions with owners of mx-25's but none with owners of 755's. Please let me know what you use, and if you tried out both, which club is suited for what type of player, ext. Thanks.

Both sticks will be great. I don't understand golf club economics well but know that you'll get some great sticks if you go with Titleist and Mizuno. Like a lot of things it's down to personal preference.

Remember, Titleist makes tons of cash through golf ball sales... far more than through their clubs. Every club company is shelling out endorsement cash, including Mizuno.

Pay no attention to the contents of my bag.

Steve Sticker won yesterday with 755 irons.

According to Mizuno's website, no one on their tour staff is currently playing MX-25s.

You ask, is there really a difference between them?

Do I have to arm-wrestle your father?

hahaha

But in terms of difficulty to play with, to hit ext, both are quite similar no? I will admit I'm somewhat interested in playing one club makers club. I got my first vokey today, and if I like it those will likly replace me old wedges. I play titleist balls, and putter, the irons would be a nice addition, but I donno something about the MX-25's..regardless, it doesn't seem that distance, or anything is much differnt then right?

no other 755 users out there?

755 much better clubs....played mx-25 for about 3 months ..hated the standard superlite shafts, had too much weight on the bottom and didn't feel like the other forged mizuno's....

on the distance tip... im sorry to say, but two forged irons with the same loft and same shaft will not magically hit the ball different distances... so that point is moot.

The ONLY difference you MAY see between similarly designed "players clubs" would be spin and launch angle.

If you are good enough for a degree of launch and 500rpms to make a difference, it would be best to hit them both under the same conditions with the same shaft and hitting the same ball to best evaluate.

If not, then pick the one that looks the best to you :)

IMO "hating" a club because you dont like the random, mass produced, stock shaft they come with doesnt make much sense...

one word: Reshaft

I have the 755's and love them best irons I have ever played ,never played with the mx so don't know about them !
I'm a titliest/ vokey / scotty cameron freak! played pings before and I'm very happy I switched !

I feel thet titleist is a no nonsense company who sticks to tradition instead of always trying to reinvent the wheel just my 2 cents !

Are they even in the same class category? IMO, Titleist 755 and MX-25 is not quite comparable. I just feel Titleist is a bit toward the word "tough."

I was in a similar situation to you, except I was the 755's vs the TM r7 TP's. I got the x-forged, but they were a little too unforgiving, so i just picked up the 755's today. i played a round and loved them. my vote is for the 755's. good luck
