Nike Ignite Driver

So today, I walk into Golf Galaxy and start banging away with drivers in the used bin....First, I pull a tittie 905R with the YS6+ shaft....my current driver...

and start comparing it to other drivers. TM Quad R7, Nike Ignite 450, TM 580XD, Callaway Big Bertha, Cleveland Launcher...etc...

Well, I walked out of the store with the Nike Ignite. I hit the club farther than any of the other clubs, including my current titleist....but the killer was the forgiveness factor. I simply couldn't misshit the club now matter how bad I tried. The 'misshits' were fades and draws...not bad hooks and slices.

I need to now take both my titleist and the used Nike to the range and give it a good showdown....but I'm excited. I never thought I'd be excited about a Nike club!!

The best part was that the club was 40 bucks!

Yes I used to have one of 410cc Ignite, if you can hit it in the middle, it goes mile away...
But I don't like it when viewed at address, a bit closed face.

i used to have an ignite and i really loved it, i think u may have inspired me to try one out again.

Driver: r7 460 TP 10.5 w/Ozik Altus SX
3 Wood: Tour Proto 14.5 w/Ozik Xcon7 SX
Hybrid: Tour Proto. A2TS 19 w/ Matrix Ozik Altus HB SX
Irons: R7tp w/project x 6.0
Wedges: spin milled 56 w/ Proj. x 5.5 XTour60putter: Monza CorzaBall: Pro V1/ whatevers in my bag.

      That’s totally fair. I have my chipping issues which make my putter more playable in that situation. Really just confirming that while not optimal there comes a point where if you need to use a putter (for whatever reason) then the optimal mechanics breaks down. I know I’m a sample of one. 😂

      Well, that's not really a putt at that point. You could easily choose to putt that up the slope with a hybrid or something.

      Day 15 (August 26).  I missed practice yesterday, but otherwise had a 14-day streak going into it.  Somehow, some of my posts for this appear in my profile but I can't seem to see them (I hope I didn't break any rules that would cause them to be removed).  I am hoping I'll be able to keep doing some practice while I'm out to regain the red text.  Context:  am on vacation, this week with friends.  What was today's actual practice? Today, a friend and I decided to go to TopGolf;  it was kind of like being at the range with someone else's clubs.  And that's ultimately how I was able to use it for practice:  I don't practice choosing a target, lining up to it, and then hitting often enough;  that's what this place seems to be about.  In any case, we were there for 90 minutes, I was hitting for maybe 35-40 minutes of that time, and I did pick a target each time.

      Day 2 - (26 Aug 25) - Church men’s golf nine hole Captains choice.  Had grandson as part of our group - was a blast watching him drill the putts.  Love these no pressure sessions - great for going outside the norm on club selection.
