Season is almost over for leagues, how did you do?
We have three more weeks and a fun day to play.
We are in first place right now with a 10 point lead. Last week we played the second place team and got all 6 points then thunder storms came in and cancelled our league because the last two teams did not finish the round.

Finished in the middle of the pack this year. We've got another week to go, but I don't see our position shifting much.

Last year we were in first place going into the final week. We were paired against the team with the best golfer in our league (he's about a 6 handicap for 18 holes). Anyways, riding my handicap I was able to split that round against him even on the points. However, my partner blew up and out of a possible 9 points he could have scored, he only managed to score 1/2 a point. It was his worst performance all year. I think the pressure got to him.

My partner and I finished 6th out of 16 teams in my company league. We made a strong charge in the second half of the season, going 6-1 over the last 7 matches to climb all the way to 4th going into the 18-hole finale last week. We both had a pretty bad day, and our opponents shot the lights out (nets of 67 and 64!!!). So we got stomped. They went from 3rd to win the league, and we dropped from 4th to 6th.

It was my first time playing any kind of organized competitive golf, and I had a blast - can't wait until next year.

Our season doesn't end until December . I did much better last year (8th) but I also played in every event, this year I've missed too many to help my cause.

Our league is now over and we won the championship. As a bonus I also won the player of the year for the league. New to this league and did'nt know they gave a player of the year trophy. Final avg for the year was 39.3 for twenty weeks.
We play in every weather condition except Lightning

My traveling league has 2 weeks left, 1 regular week then our outing. We have various games throughout the year, i didnt win anything. 3rd in club champ (flighted, gross score) 4th in our points champ, (non flighted, net score) 3rd in our match play, again flighed with handicaps. Halfway I was leading money winner, not a big money league though. I will be close to the top at the end.

We also have a beat your handicap throughout the year which I am ahead by 1 so I cant do worse than a T1. This is also flighted A and B flights. We have two two man best ball tourneys over two rounds that i didnt get to compete in both only teh first. We took 4th I think.

Choked on the last night of the regular season. My wife's uncle chips in for par on the last. If it had not hit the flag it would have been 30 feet past the hole on the lower tier outside my second. I was on in two and had a 1 shot net lead. All I had to do was two putt to win and guarantee a spot in the last group with a chance to win it again. I blew the first one past and missed the comeback for par. I was so pissed when I thought a tie did nothing for me that I slapped at it and missed. Turns out that a tie would have still put us in the last group one point back.

On position night I shot my worst round in three years since I really didn't feel like we had a chance to win as we were not playing head-to-head with the first place team. My wife shot a good enough round that she would have beaten both the first and second place ladies by enough that I could have lost by 3 NET and still won the match and the title. Turns out the first place team played well enough to take all 6 points and win outright so my terrible round had no bering on the outcome.

I can honestly say that if we had gone into the last night tied for first we would have won easily. I thrive playing against this guy. He is a notorious stroke shaver and he knows he can't get away with it when I'm there. I can tell you how many shots you had on the hole and recap them for you if need be. The team that won it has never taken a point from us in head to head matches. They beat us this year with some questionable math when we were not there.

The frustrating thing is I had my best scoring year by far. My average was 1.5 strokes lower than my previous season best. This just drives me to comeback and win it next year.
