For the longest time I fought a slice with every club. Now I play a draw. The last couple of times I went out and practiced I have hit a consistent fade. I noticed that my front leg is straitening early. I'm losing distance and the ball is going right. When I hit my wedges its like I'm hitting a long flop shot. It sucks because the last time I played I was hitting the ball so well. Now I don't know how to hit the broad side of a barn. Has anyone heard of this?

Yes it's a common mistake for a lot of golfers, especially those that swing across the ball. Check out this video and work on this feel/drill.

I like the concept of what your trying to get across with this video. I went out and played today. I tried to focus on getting my weight more forward and staying down for a little longer. I had 4 or 5 really bad chunks today but for the most part I hit the ball well. Not one slice. I hit very controlled draws when i flushed the ball.

I shot 82 today on a pretty tough course. My previous best at this course was an 86. I have only played there 3 times. So things are definitely looking better.

well, Tiger woods pre-injury swing had a straight front leg, at impact

He hit the ball a country mile back then.

Yes but his "weight" was far enough forward when he did straighten it. The leg certainly doesn't extend, it just needs to happen in the proper sequence.

To often though I think people get confused with swaying forward and not straightening their leg early. I know this was one thing that helped me a ton. I am able to clear my hips a lot more fluidly when I do get my weight more forward. The strike on the ball is a lot better too. I also don't swing the club so much from the inside.

This is huge and has helped me a ton. It will take months, however, to get comfortable with the weight being forward. At least for me, I've been working on key #2 for two months, and it is better but still needs to improve.
