I've played a few in the Tampa area that are very nice: TPC Tampa Bay (Lutz, FL) and also Bardmoor, which I think is listed as Largo, FL. Both nice.

While I've never played World Woods, Copperhead or Lake Jovita, I've heard good things about those too.

WHAT'S IN MY BAG

Driver: TaylorMade RBZ 9.5 degree; 3-Wood: TaylorMade RBZ 15 degree; Hybrids: TaylorMade RBZ 19 degree; Irons: Titleist AP1; Wedges: Titleist Vokey Spin Milled 54/60; Putter: Scotty Cameron Studio Select Fastback; Ball: Callaway Hex Chrome+  Grips:  PURE Pro

You might want to try The Tides in Seminole. It's right on Boca Ciega Bay, but I hear the fairways are narrow (and well kept). I live 3 blocks from it and haven't played it yet. I just got back into the game and it is on my list of courses to play...and real soon.

What's in my bag:
and Spalding...Old clubs...probably from the 70's
Go Gators!
I play music too: http://www.myspace.com/therecycledcitizen

    • I'm confused - the team of two is playing a scramble but the single player is playing best of two balls or is he playing a one man scramble with two shots? If the single is best of two balls, then I'd bet on the pair playing a scramble everytime. If it's a two man scramble versus a single person scramble, I'd take the single, at least until fatigue was a factor. Give a regular play two shots and I think he is going to play better than the other two guys. That said, probably works better for the solo for 9 holes than 18. If the solo was smart and self aware of his game, and many of us are not as aware as we should be, he would conserve his energy and not play a second swing after a good shot.
