Does anyone play them? I've been eyeing this post for a while now since they've got the shafts I want for a listing cheaper than buying the shafts alone. I grew up playing Mizuno grads, and they sound like they've got similar technology in them. Anybody love or hate them, or maybe heard anything about them?

I've played the 695 cb's for about 5 years now.  Very similar.  Generally characterized as a "players cavity back", whatever that means....

I really like mine.  I like a nice compact club head and thin top-line.  Not the most forgiving irons.....certainly not what I would characterize as any kind of game-improvement iron, but they won't kill you if you miss a bit either.  Nice soft feel and consistent flight when you do your part.

The irons in the ad look awfully beat up though.  Obviously need new grips and the faces look like they've been through the war.  I have over 500 rounds on my 695's and they look a LOT better than that.

FWIW, I just looked on ebay and found several sets of 695's in better shape, for around the same price point......

In David's bag....

Driver: Titleist 910 D-3;  9.5* Diamana Kai'li
3-Wood: Titleist 910F;  15* Diamana Kai'li
Hybrids: Titleist 910H 19* and 21* Diamana Kai'li
Irons: Titleist 695cb 5-Pw

Wedges: Scratch 51-11 TNC grind, Vokey SM-5's;  56-14 F grind and 60-11 K grind
Putter: Scotty Cameron Kombi S
Ball: ProV1

Also play the 695's. I was going to replace them earlier on, but I think I'ma gonna keep em around for awhile. Everyone that tries them, likes them, mine have the DG S300 shafts. Also mine look like crap, well the shorter irons anyway, but still play well.

    • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
