Because people don't often buy single clubs. Your market is almost entirely comprised of people who want that club because they're missing it from their existing set.

Plus, TaylorMade often gives out single irons as samples, often a 5-iron or a 6-iron. If that's one of those models, there are going to be a bunch of them out there.

If I remember correctly, TM sent out a bunch of free 5i and 6i to anyone that requested them as part of their promotion which means there are even more of these clubs out there than usual.
