Anyone play this shaft in their irons? What do you like about it, how does it suit your game? Would also be good if you could post your specs such as swing speed, what type of swinger are you etc! I tried XP95 R300 recently but felt it was a bit too light so im sure the XP105 would best suit me. Please share your thoughts! Thanks

I had the same issue with R300, so I went to the R400. I LIKE the R400. I am supposed to hit the s300 according to the fitters, but when I use accelerometers on my clubs during a practice round, the speeds show the R400/S200 swingspeed range. This is real typical for me, swinging inside the max speed I could make. I never really seem to NEED a wide open tempo, I will club up. I think you should be careful and study ball flight. Those xp105s are high flight. That means low bend typically, which may chang some things. Perhaps you can find a mid bend, something neither too high nor too low, so that you have sticks that are pretty good at all kinds of shots not just low or high. Another subtle thing is whether the bend profile of your long sticks yield the same ball flight as your irons. It can be hard to track, but I have seen guys that favor low bend sets (graf blue D through wedges) look for drivers without success because the flight was wrong but they didnt know why.

I just picked up a set of AP2s with XP 95 Stiff.  They feel a lot like my NS Pro 950GH stiff but launch a bit higher and feel a little smoother on the handle end.

    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
