Nevada Bobs Trade In?

Was thinking of heading to Nevada Bobs later for a new putter.

I have a 6 week old Scotty Cameron Red X I'd like to trade in against one of the futura mallets. Do you think they will do this for me?

I don't know if they will or not but in my experience it is almost always better to try to sell outright then trade. You probably know that, but I thought I would pass it along anyway.

Find out what they're willing to give you as a trade-in, then put it on Ebay with that as a reserve and see what you can get for it. My guess is a whole lot more.

I am going to try the same thing with my Cleveland pitching web as soon as I figure out how to use Ebay as a seller. The trade in values are too low for me.

Golf clubs are like cars. As soon as you leave the store the re-sale value drops. There are rare exceptions, but for the most part you won't get close to what it's worth. I agree with the rest of the posters, ebay or here on the market place is the way to go. Ebay is easy enough to sell on. I just checked and there are quite a few on there and they are going for a wide range. It's always tough to know until the end of an auction since the price may stay low until the final minutes and jump quickly.

put it on ebay on a 1 day auction as i needed the cash

sold it for £100 which was ok seen i bought it for £150

just got to head up to the golf store later and pick out a new putter. all this on the same day my custom x-forged irons arrived with me :)

When trying to determine an average price, don't look at the current listings (for the reasons you describe), but rather search for only completed auctions. Then you can see what they actually closed at.

picked up an odyssey xg marksman blade, in my head i wanted to hate it but i couldn't miss. Really wanted to like the scotty detour but it was horrible, i hate the bendy alignment aid.

Well, lets see if this short stick lasts longer than the 6 week red x

No matter how "great" a putter is, it has to fit your eye. I had tried others before switching to the Scotty, but they just never looked right. My Scotty has a very similar set up to the Ping I was using for over 10 years. Good luck with it.
