My friend was trying with my fairwaywood and hit the ball on the head (where the PT is printed on the 906F2) and created a dent. I don't know how he hit it there but the dent is very noticeable. Is there a way to restore it to normal condition? Thanks.

man sorry to hear that. i wish i had good news for you, but with a sharp dent in the top like that, there's just not a lot you can do.

i had this happen on a Ping Zing 2 driver when i was just learning how to play and i was so disappointed. the problem is, the surface area of a head is so small that there's virtually no way to use some sort of suction to pop the dent out like you would on the hood of a car. the only way you could do it would be to get inside the clubhead somehow and by the time you do that...well, you might as well have spent the money on a new one. depending on how good of a friend it is, i might actually "offer" to sell him the club so you can get a new one. of course, you don't want to go damaging any friendships, so if it was an old club anyway, it might not be worth it. kind of a tough call. but good luck and sorry again about your club.

Yeah... He did it right infront of me... Swung the club and bang!!! The ball flew 90 degrees towards my direction missing me by a few inches... And the result is as shown in the picture... Oh well... I guess I will have to use it for a while and ask him to replace it with 906F4 if that is better and with same price...

sorry to hear that!

i just had a similar experience: i almost dinged my brand new superquad while practicing on the shop's hitting mat, which was surrounded by concrete flooring. in the end, i scratched a part close to the hitting face .

sigh, i'm sure your friend feels as bad, if not worse than me. if it was me, i would have offered to replace the club. good luck

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.

    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
