need ideas for driver to replace Ping i15

Need SUGGESTIONS.

ive been gaming this club for just over a year. and althought i dont mind its challenge, id like for something a little nicer to hit. not neccessarily in terms of forgiveness. if theres a way to keep the more traditional shape and still be able to work the ball id go for that club.

i havent had the time to research the new stuff. and even so, the new stuff is never up to what the clubmakers put them out to be.

the only club ive looked at is "older". cleveland classic XL custom. i love the shape more than the ping and have heard its one of the best feeling drivers. muted and soft.

thats what im looking for really is a great feeling traditional type driver. and spare the jokes of going with a persimmon wood hahaha

the ping feels just a bit hard off the face. but still a driver id keep around for the workability and power it is capable of

Have you hit the i25? Other options would be the Titleist 915 D3, Callaway BB 815 Double Black Diamon and Nike Flex.

I haven't not hit the i25 or callaway. I'll admit the 915 d3 does look very nice. I'm not such a big fan or the alignment aid in fact I'd prefer hardly visible, or no alignment aid quite honestly. The i15 fits the bill nicely. But it's a bit hard on center hits and although it tells me where I've gone wrong in terms of the fact contact. I don't get enough of a positive sensation when hit flush. Mostly the results are what I draw from. Unfortunately I hit my first round of the season with it 2 days ago and it was fighting hard to stay in the bag. I could place the ball anywhere. There were some missed fairways but the flight was exactly what I want just some fine adjustments at address. I'll give the 915 d3 a nod. Also looking at Cleveland classic xl custom. And possibly a tour edge exotics. I just don't want these big wide flat looking drivers. G series of ping comes to mind

The older X hot drivers have been going on ebay $50-$65 new. Very good looking club at address, good sound at impact. I've been gaming one since the end of last season with good results.
