There's probably already a thread for this but....Are there any clubs (used/new) that anyone would recommend for someone who isn't the best golfer in the world. Thanks!

I'd suggest GI irons like the Titleist AP1, Ping G25/G30, Mizuno JPX-850 / Forged, Cobra Fly z, Callaway XR / Apex.  There are a lot of options, it's a matter of you going to a store and hitting them so you find what fits your eye and swing.

I would most definitely suggest a set of hybrid irons, like Adams.

I have an older set of Adams hybrid irons and they're pretty forgiving on mishits for me, especially on swings where I might ground out the club early in my downswing.  They have a pretty deep sole that keeps it from digging in unless I completely chop into the ground.  Not sure how much they help if your main problem is hits off the toe/heel but I know they're easier to hit than my old set of blades.

:titleist: 910D3 driver, :tmade: SLDR S 3 wood, :adams: A3OS IDEA hybrid irons, :cleve: 48*, 53*, 56*, 60* wedges, :tmade: Est. 79 TM-770 putter, whatever balls I can pick up cheap/dig out of the rough

check out this month's issue of golf magazine - they review 30 plus sets of irons.  the short list for me would be:

ping G25 or G30

Taylormade RSI 1's

Mizuno JPX EZ

Callaway XR

I game the TM RSI1's and love them.
