I went to my local pro for a fitting today. After hitting my 2 irons (r7 Draw r flex steel and my Mizuno MP-60's Graphite Aldila NV Stiff)

We went thru hit fitting rack and hit different types and styles of Pings (only kind on his rack)
The club I hit best was a Ping G5 with Graphite Regular shafts, due to the light weight

The light weight and easy flex of the shaft added distance and the ball jumped better off the clubface.

I am not sure I am interested in Pings or not, I figure it would cost me as much or more to reshaft my R7's then it would to sell my set and buy a new set.

Also I don't know if the R7's with Graphite would be as light as the pings I hit well.

Any suggestions, up where I live its not easy to find something and hit it (outside is really hard, inside I have Dick's)

Would like some opinions on what to do. I guess with the season ending in a week or 2 I could wait untill spring.

I just got a set of the r7's they come with a 90 gram steel shaft which is much lighter than a DG or comparable I picked up 1/2 club atleast. I like steel over graphite in my irons for control. Just my 2 cents good luck. btw I love these irons. I tried the x20 tour with black gold and I lost a club distance. these rock
