new driver on old shaft

Currently I have a TaylorMade R540, with a Fujikura shaft on it.

I am looking at getting a new driver, either the Burner, or Superquad.

I think I know the answer, but If I buy a new driver, can I exchange the head with my R540 ?

I don't really want to buy a new shaft, since I already have a quality shaft that I like.

It depends on the hosel diameter. Check the club & shaft manufacturers websites and see if they are the same size.

yes you can , But, be very carefull removing the shaft. When you heat graphite it gets very soft and if you twist it it turns to mush.

You will need a shaft puller that removes it straight under low heat.
