Hi all,

I just started golfing a couple of months ago and my score on a nine hole course is a 53. For someone who is new to golf, is that an ok score?

Thanks,

Sean

Yes. Looks like a good score to me. Is that an average now or just your low? Keep up the good work.

If it's legit an excellent score for a beginning golfer. I took up golf again in 2012 after a not sure how long because golf hadn't been important to me in a long time layoff but I was a decent jr golfer 30+ years earlier. It took me a couple months to get under 50. The first time I played in 2012 I picked up on every hole. The first time I shot a sub 50 47 I felt like it was amazing golf. I didn't use anything longer than 4i for a year. Played down to a 12 hc with mothing longer than a 4w. If you just started and are playing low 50's golf it's a good start.

Dave :-)
