I've been Playing Golf for: less than 2 years My current handicap index or average score is: 15-20 My typical ball flight is: fade, sometimes slice The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: fading/slicing high, weak ball flight Videos: Sorry everyone, I'm posting this on my phone and it's my first post so I'm trying to figure out how to do everything. This is probably going to turn out awful

Hi, welcome to the site.

Here's where you are and where you want to try and get to (right pic). Notice the shaft and the position of the hands. The player on the right has his arms deeper (more in) than you and the shaft is much more shallow. This is why you fade and slice and the ball, from here you have to swing across the ball.

To change the downswing you have to clean up some things that happen before it. With the set-up:

- Take some flex out of the knees.

- Don't sit back on your heels, the first bit will help with that.

Then on the backswing turn your hips. Notice how "cemented" your lower body looks compared to the right pic. If you don't turn, you can't swing out at the ball on the downswing.

Some resources on how to do the backswing stuff.

- Turn the feet out.

- Turn your hips.
