rkim, I apologize.  I don't take comments about "uneducated blue collar workers" lightly.  My dad had to drop out of school in 4th grade and really never attended 4th grade.  My mom didn't make it much further.  Yet, they voted, my dad served this country and somehow made it through without anyone knowing he couldn't read and then somehow raised 3 out of 4 children along the way.  We lost one of my sisters.  He is my hero.  This past week, while in the hospital, he was asked to sign his name to some stuff and he had to admit to the Doctor that he can't read what he was to sign.  It really hurt his feelings having to say that.

Understood.   There was no malice in my statement.  Per the survey done, Trump's supporters are made up more from folks with less than college degree.  And I believe it.  I don't look down on blue collar workers nor people without college degree.  My father and I worked as a janitor, he for many years, I for 4 years before I went to college.  More than half of my relatives don't have college degrees.  No need to read into more than what is there and we can have meaningful discussion.

I thought it was pretty bad whenTrump said, "I've got a billion dollar company and I don't have to listen to anything he (Kasich) says". Some people love that stuff but it's just silly, Kasich made some good points and Trump would rather say something disparaging than actually debate.

That's when I wanted to slap his silly mouth ... :-).    He has very little leadership qualities I look for in a leader.

Sadly (and off topic) it's not that uncommon.  I think you'd be surprised by how many adults in this country can't read beyond a 4th grade reading level.  I read a statistic somewhere (I'll look for it tomorrow) that around 65% of our prison inmates can't read beyond a 4th grade reading level.

No, it was just the implication that he couldn't read at all by 4th grade, unless I'm misreading the post. I'll stop though as it's off-topic

I quoted what my Dad said.  He can read very basic things.  Note the "very basic" part of that sentence.  Even with simple things, he gives up fast when it comes to reading.  He is not alone in my family.  Every application he has filled out for a job, I believe either a cousin who was raised in our home or myself have filled out. Per a Doctor's statement in a hospital, no way.  He and my mom were both that way.  I have done all of that stuff (reading any important materials) for my parents as long as I can remember.  For a very long time I lived in a 10' by 20' shed with 6 others in my family.  I know what true poverty looks like.

I hope this is not off topic since I or other conservatives were asked to explain what they believe.  I am simply providing the reasons I believe that way.

Coach (me) to player, "Hey, what percentage of putts left short never go in?"  Player, "Coach, 100% of putts left short never go in."  Coach (me), "Exactly."  Player, "Coach what percentage of putts that go long never go in."  LOL!
