On Black Friday I purchased a Taylormade M1 10.5 degree driver from Dick's with a nice discount and after researching the offered shafts I chose a mid launch Mitsubishi Silver TiNi regular shaft. I am a 70 year old man with a 9 handicap who plays a TM Jetspeed driver and usually get about 240 yards when I hit it good. When my new driver arrived the shaft was a Fujikura Pro 60 which tests results indicate is a high launch shaft. I planned to return it for the correct shaft but this morning read on this site that high launch low spin is best for distance and accuracy. Now I'm confused. Should I keep the Fujikura or return it for the Mitsubishi? I don't have a problem hitting my Jetspeed high. It is also a regular shaft. Please share your wisdom. Thanks.

The KK Silver TINI is more of a lower launch, lower spin driver shaft. Unless you are an unusual 70 yr old, I would opt for the Fuji 60 unless you would have picked another mid launch, mid spin shaft. The Jetspeed is a different animal than the M1. Someone with experience with the M1 can chime in, hopefully, but in general, I think the Jetspeed will give you more spin and launch than the M1. So you want more spin or launch in the M1, especially in a 10.5. You may have to adjust loft upwards. (someone please fix this spacing)
