I've always been into anything with an engine. We race karts right now. I haven't had anything in a while as far as projects. I inherited my dad's 98 silverado when he passed that I plan on fixing up once we are done racing karts. I currently have an 06 Trailblazer SS, but it's pretty much been kept stock.

I don't customize, but ever since I bought my first Tacoma x-cab 4x4 many years ago, I wondered how I ever got along without a truck. Now I just got a Silverado x-cab 4x4. It is the WT (work truck) trim, but with the blacked out package. . Because it's the work trim line, it doesn't have computer or radio controls on the steering wheel, the steering wheel is plastic, and the 4x4 shift is a manual lever on the floor, but it has the large V8 and things a guy wants like auto locking rear differential, low gearing for towing, and the blackout package comes with 20" black alloy rims. Wicked eye candy for $6K less than their LT trim package. It was the same price as used LT models with 20K mi.

Pulls a fully loaded 4 horse over the divide at 65 mph, also. Toughest truck I've ever owned! :-D

I love how trucks drive. They are just so damn expensive for a good one :-D

My first truck was a Tacoma, and I followed that up with a Silverado 1500. I dunno, looking back on 170K miles on both, they were about equal with regards to repairs. What I do know is, I got a deep discount on the Silverado so that it only cost me $1K more than what I paid for my Tacoma 8 yrs before. Much more bang for the buck. Now with my new Silverado, I am Chevy truck guy...

You sir, are a REAL truck owner.

In comparison, I'm a pretender...
