Hi

I am in the market for new irons. I have been playing on and off for a while and has always used of the rack clubs or hand me down (I was a poor student for a long time...) Now I want to get my first set of "quality" golf clubs. I am thinking Callaway X20.

According to Callaways' custom fitting chart I would need club shafts of standard lenght and 2* up. Am I reading the chart correctly?

I am 6' 0 tall + wrist to floor = 36.5'

Any comments?

thanks

Alex

Alex,

Forget wrist to floor, that's just a starting point and doesn't mean anything for clubfitting. You can be 5'4" and stand very tall or 6'5" and bend over. How will wrist to floor translate that into your golf swing?

The key to golf is a dynamic fitting where you can see the full ball flight. Order the irons you want and then get fit dynamically off a lie board.

Alex,

exactly....dynamic fittings outdoor are the only way to go! I fit a guy who was 5'6" +1/2 inch and 1* upright and he's never hit the ball better. Every big box retailer looked at him and said he didnt need to be fit because they knew his specs would be -1/2inch and 2*flat.
