As anyone had experience repairing scuffs or cracked parts of their white golf shoes with a particular product?  If so, what product dyes into and stays in the shoe.  The cheap stuff I bought at Rite Aid wore off after one cleaning subsequent to application.

I once used snow, and it worked brilliantly. Then it melted :-D

In my bag (Motocaddy Light)

Taylormade Burner driver, Taylormade 4 wood, 3 x Ping Karsten Hybrids, 6-SW Ping Karsten irons with reg flex graphite shafts. Odyssey putter, 20 Bridgestone e6 balls, 2 water balls for the 5th hole, loads of tees, 2 golf gloves, a couple of hand warmers, cleaning towel, 5 ball markers, 2 pitch mark repairers, some aspirin, 3 hats, set of waterproofs, an umbrella, a pair of gaiters, 2 pairs of glasses. Christ, it's amazing I can pick the bloody thing up !!

Use neutral shoe polish on your shoes before you wear them out on the course the first time and take care of them like you would a pair of dress shoes.

I bought a German product named "Buffalo" which helped optically, but if you look closer you can still see the cracks and grey lines shining through. DrvFrShow is right: taking care of them from the very beginning is the best way!
