I bought three Wishon 785 HF hybrid irons (#3, #4, and #5). I have TT TX-90 shafts and want to use steel. I just don't like graphite shafts in hybrids. I play with an A Flex shaft in my irons built to standard length. If I use the TX-90 shafts, what length should each Wishon 785 HF iron be and how much should I tip trim for the #3, #4, and #5 HF irons?

I have seen a variety of lengths from various OEMs for their hybrids, but would like your input before cutting these shafts. I understand that since the TX-90 wood shafts are .335 they should not be trimmed more than 2 1/4 inches once you reach a 7 wood.

I put that same TX-90 shaft into a 23 degree hybrid last week. I tip trimmed it the 2 1/4" like for a 7/9 wood. Not sure if that is how I should have trimmed it because there just aren't many instructions for hybrids for most shafts. I asked a few other people before I did it and they all seemed to agree that the 2 1/4" was probably the best bet.
