Now you've got me curious - what question?

well basically its about this course

http://www.stewartpeninsulagolf.com/...nt_letter.html its a nine hole but each hole has two different greens. so 18 in all. i just wanted to know what kind of rules/etiquette apply here as far as teeing off. i know that you shouldn't bomb your tee drives into the group ahead of you , but can you go ahead and tee off if the group ahead of you is already on their green(assuming you and the other group are playing a different "hole" so to speak, ex. we're playing #1, group ahead is playing #10). the only reason i ask is because even though the two greens share a fairway and the same hazards, the approach to the green will be different.

I play a course everynow and then that is a 9 hole course that has two holes on every green and you just play to the other flag on the back 9. I hate it the idea, but its a tough course so its good practice.

I assume the rules would be no different, Just wait for both greens to clear and hit too the correct green.

I played one that has 9 greens. You use different tee boxes on the back nine. Good idea I guess if you are limited on space.

I've never seen that before. You shouldn't have taken the original question down though. I don't think that there is such a thing as a stupid question.

okay....just for reference, i went there today and played. The fairways aren't as wide as i thought they would be and the two greens for each fairway are pretty close together. So, yea.....definately wait for greens to be clear just to be safe.

I've never seen anything like that before. Looks kind of interesting though. I just might have to find one where I live.

There is a course in the Rockland, Maine area (Goose River, I think) that has 9 greens and 18 tees. They actually do a good job of creating the illusion of 18 holes. One hole is dogleg left on the front and dogleg right on the back, another is a par 3 on the front and par 4 on the back, etc.

I've only played it twice and didn't ever run into any etiquette issues. Good judgement seemed to work in all the cases that I ran into. If it was really crowded I can see how it would get confusing.
