Rules of Golf '08-'11

Just noticed that the R&A; and USGA had posted the new rule book , effective in January. The only thing I seem to notice different is playing a wrong ball from a hazard (sand). Before, it was no penalty but now appears to be a two stroke penalty (there is still an exception for a moving ball in water). Anything else major?

And am I the only one bugged by the four pages they devote to Rolex ads? It's a rule book, not a means of profit.

Yes, ads in a rule book seem ridiculous. But perhaps it is meant to serve as some kind of message about slow play.

Playing a wrong ball from a hazard is now a two stroke penalty because now you are allowed to lift that ball to determine if it is yours or not so hitting wrong ball penalty makes sense because you had the opportunity to look. Also remember Jeff Maggert's 2 shot penalty for hitting himself with bunker shot on the 3rd. hole of 2003 Masters?M.Weir won and thank god not by a shot or 2 over J.M.?anyways.....that is now only a '1' shot penalty.
