Hello TST members, would anyone be able to help me understand why I am flipping through impact? Usually the longer the club the more I flip for some reason. My ball flight is either a nice push draw, a big overdraw/ hook or the dreaded snap hook. Ball usually starts at target then turns over or starts right of target and then turns over. I don't really hit pull hooks too often or pulls at all. Please help me I feel I am on the verge of playing good golf.  I make great contact in the center of the club face. Sometims I get a toe struck hook that I can understand the left to right spin. Also hit some fat/thin shots with an occasional SHANK! Thanks for any and all advice.

Thanks @RandallT for the quick reply. I do appreciate it. I'm not sure how educated you are on analyzing the golf swing but I think you have helped me before. Do you think you could take a look at my most recent swing and see if it is indeed a flip. If not don't worry about it. I do appreciate the forum suggestions thanks.

I've visited your swing thread and looks like you're getting some contributors there, so congrats.

Keep at it, and you'll likely get to the topic of flipping there with it being more relevant to you, rather than just a generic topic of flipping which may or may not help your issue.

When I chime in, it'll be more to just share my own common struggles  and provide encouragement as I'm learning all this like many of us here. I may have already, as I remember viewing a few of your videos.

I will say this: flipping may or may not be your priority. Everything that you do at impact happens based on things earlier in the swing.

I've seen swing threads where the topic is getting to a good backswing for a very long time, and the problems in the downswing just begin to sort themselves out.

So be careful trying to fix things at impact - focus on getting guidance on where exactly your priority is. That's invaluable.

Swing thread link for others, if they want to discuss Vinchrbzo's swing in particular.

    • 26 Nov 24 -  It was not a record breaking round by any means, but rather a simple walking of the back nine today playing TBWB (two ball-worse ball) where the challenge is to play the worse of the two shots played - could be an errant drive from the woods, a tree knocked ball that is 100 yds farther back down the fairway, a nGIR ball as opposed to a GIR….the goal today was to stay no worse than bogie thru nine.  Managed to achieve that goal - bogied 7 holes with one dbl and one par to counter the dbl.  It’s about staying focused and not letting a bad shot or lie derail, but rather be an opportunity.
    • Day 208 (26 Nov 24)- Opted to walk 9 today (was the back nine as they had a huge group going off the front) but instead of it being persimmons and blades, I had the regular gamers but made it a TBWB (two ball-worst ball) round.  This really challenges on several fronts - ball striking to be as consistent as possible, course management from non-optimal lies and keeping your head in it as it can be depressing to nail a shot on line-on target and the second rattles the trees right and it’s over 50 yards back and that’s the one you have to play.  The goal was to be no worse than bogie overall (+9).  Finished the round exactly on the number with some solid recoveries, no penalty strokes and only one 3-putt.
