My county in Northern New Jersey has 3 municipal courses that or taxes go to. To get a county card you pay $40 which enable you to access the phone reservation system and green fees of $20-$24 depending on the time and day. The course I mostly play is 7100 yards from the back with a slope of 130 and is not easy with good par 3's and great par 5's.

Occasionally Ill go to other places like the resort courses in the mountains of NJ or Bethpage Black or Red

I usually only play a round of 9. It is about $17-$20. That is also riding. I played one friday afternoon and walked. It was only 9 bucks. Hell of a deal!

I am a member at my local course. But a lot of my friends are members at other courses and it costs me about £10 at their's. That's about $23?

For pay and play I've never paid over $40 though.

That's for 18 holes.

Normally I try to walk and save some $$$. $20 - $30 is about average for around here... Playing in Vegas Friday and trying to swallow the $150+ that I think I am going to shell out.

well...finding a public course in my area is hard. i live in naples, florida. or better known as "private golf course capital of the world"

i do have a few public courses i play. those start at $40 for 18, depending on what time of day it is.

plus, all the tourists and snow birds are in town, so golf is even more expensive during this time of year

    • Day 33 (13 Dec 25) - Worked on weight shift and resetting the left heel during downswing (after listening to a discussion on Golf School this morning on PGA Tour Radio).  It centered on how Jack Nicklaus lifted his lead heel and how long driver champs do as well.  Taking cues from that discussion, worked an exaggerated feel of the left heel working doing some swing drill in the backyard using the 7i.  Wrapped up the session by hitting a few low bump and run shots in the backyard - keeping the process slow and exaggerated.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
