Hey,

If anyone out there can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. I'm happy to do what I can to make up the time it would take, too.

Basically, the thing I need help with is this… The Golf Evolution "swirly arcs" logo was designed some time ago by someone I don't know. I discovered that due to the way it's built, it doesn't scale very well - places where the arcs "overlap" can become askew, and look a little goofy. I've resized the logo a few times with some "patchwork" vector pieces, but it's not something I should have to do each time I want to resize the vector logo a bit.

Here's what I mean…

Regular Logo at the current size:

Screen%20Shot%202017-06-20%20at%205.14.5

Scaled logo (but my "kludges" and band-aids and chewing gum fixes start to fall apart):

Screen%20Shot%202017-06-20%20at%205.17.3

There are four of them:

Screen%20Shot%202017-06-20%20at%205.16.0Screen%20Shot%202017-06-20%20at%205.16.2

Screen%20Shot%202017-06-20%20at%205.16.2

The previous graphic designer used strokes with varying widths (or something) to create some of the arcs, also, because some of the arcs fall outside the boundary of the objects themselves, which make it tougher to align in projects. What I mean by that is this:

Screen%20Shot%202017-06-20%20at%205.21.4

You can see the boundary box is exceeded by the top right and the bottom left areas. This makes it tougher to align and place on things accurately - you have to do it more by eye than by boundary box/guide.

So… If someone could basically take the logo and make it a couple of vectors with the proper layering (the light green thinner loop should go "over" the stuff on the left side, but "under" the stuff on the right side), I'd be happy to offer up a one-year subscription free, a couple copies of LSW free (autographed or not, make great gifts), or whatever else you can think of that we'd agree to.

Right now I just had the idea of exporting to a large PNG and letting Illustrator image trace it itself, and then connecting a few of the vectors that would be split by the light green ring, but I know just enough about Illustrator to be dangerous, and this may be beyond my pay grade. :-)

PM me and/or post here if you can help. Thanks.

Genius idea to post that here.

Question: are you married to this logo? What I mean is, is it awesome enough to warrant all the extra work? Sometimes fixing something old is harder than starting from scratch. There is enough talent and services like logo tournament, where you can get great ideas and work at good prices. Not to mention, hosting a more formal logo design challenge is a good marketing opportunity and, if you have the right platform, you could even get some press and links which are valuable for your SEO.

Just an idea.

Thanks. It worked.

It's not really mine. It's more "Dave's" logo than mine, so… even that being said, yeah, I kinda like it just fine. I'm sure I'd like others more, but… the 72 hats we just ordered are going to have this logo on it, so I may not be married to it, but I'm definitely committed. :-)

It wasn't too difficult. A few image traces and a little tweaking, in the end…

If I wanted a new logo, I'd probably just use 99designs. Those were really successful for us in the past.
